My Credentials

Whilst I don't want to overwhelm you with information, I do feel strongly about the importance of hypnotherapists being well-trained and I take a great deal of pride in offering an excellent service that is backed by Masters level accreditation. I know that looking for a trusted and qualified therapist might feel like a daunting task. If it helps you make a decision then do explore my qualifications gained from the highly respected and UKCP affiliated National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy- the oldest training organisation of hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy in the UK. I undergo regular supervision with a highly-qualified hypno-psychotherapist to ensure that my treatment is relevant, effective, ethical and of the very highest standard.

I'd like to offer a space that is yours, where you can feel listened to and valued, hopefully making your task feel safer and easier. I know that it can feel hard to share your innermost thoughts and fears and I want to reassure you that you will receive only acceptance and respect in return.

My Approach

I appreciate that we are all different and you may not feel too concerned with my methods at this stage (or ever!), and that's absolutely fine. However, some people like to have lots of information to help them feel sure about choosing a therapist.
I use an integrative approach to therapy which basically means I draw on lots of different approaches from humanistic and behavioural therapies, and also use a range of hypnoanalytic techniques. My training is in hypno-psychotherapy meaning that I have received rigorous training in understanding the underlying causes behind unwanted behaviours. I use this knowledge skilfully to support you to integrate those areas of your personality that may have been ignored or damaged and are now making themselves felt or heard through unwanted behaviours.

It is worth remembering that we came into this world as whole human beings and that we can reclaim this wholeness and wellness, re-membering (putting back together) who we really are. Your mind and body already know how to be well, you just need to remember. That sounds easy, doesn't it? We all know how to remember!

I feel humbled when clients finish our therapy feeling good about themselves and empowered to become an expert on their own lives and happiness. I see it as giving people a tool box of techniques that they can use in the future, making them much less likely to need me again!
